Hi Phil,
I am a club member.
I thought
that you might be interested in publishing the attached photo
of my 1937 Standard Flying 10 'Special'. I have had the car
for about a year ( I part exchanged it with a Wolseley 15/50).
I think that it started off life as a saloon and was converted
later. Unfortunately, I have very little history.
Please feel
free to publish the photo on the web or in the magazine. I
would be very interested to know if anyone has any information
about it.
Best wishes,
Jonathan Waters.
I certainly
am interested Jonathan, and my readers are always pleased to
see a Standard that they have never seen before, like this
one!
I
am assuming that this car is a Flying 10 chassis and
mechanicals with a Wolseley rad and bespoke panelwork.
Certainly a pretty little "Special". As such,
I don't have a correct place to "file" this in
the Virtual Museum, so it will have to go in the Coachbuilders
Section for now.
If you are
aware of anything further about this car please write to me in
the first instance and I will pass it on.
