My friend Harit
Trivedi from Bombay sent me this picture of a tired looking
Vanguard Phase 2 taxi he shot in the mid 90s in the southern
hillstation of Ooty. Taxis in India are usually black with
yellow tops.

That would make the
car about 40 years old at the time - no wonder they have a
reputation for reliability!
Can anyone tell us
if this Vanguard is still plying for fares?
