We do not have a normal
regular meeting place as we cover such a wide geographic area. During the
main events season we aim to tell each other about our local shows, spread
the word and meet at events. We have tried to organise a start or end of
season lunch meet, but to date the weather has been against us – we
continue to try !

2010 Events
For all events I have included the website address so you can find out more about the
nature of the event and make your own entry arrangements.
Please let me know by phone or email if you plan to go to any so that if we have quite a
number I can arrange with the organisers for us to have our own space together. I will not
be at all the events, but I will coordinate group parking if possible.

Sunday 28th AGM at Solihull
Anyone wishing to join the East Anglians may join me along the route or come along for
the ride. I will be starting from Stamford and taking a cross-country route on the A43 to the
A14, or possibly via Leicester for a route “as the crow flies”. Call me if you’re interested,
meet other members and have your say at the AGM.

Sunday 25th Drive it Day
Is anyone interested in joining me for a circular run (or part of it) probably including
Wisbech, Spalding, Bourne, Stamford, Peterborough. Please contact Conan. I’ll be in my
Standard on this day, so come and join me and blow off those winter cobwebs.
Fri 30th April – Mon 3rd May Anglia Road Run
This is the main annual event specifically in our Region which is always popular and
excellently organised by Ian and Vera Leggett. Please contact Ian for more details if you
haven’t done so already, he may still be able to fit in another car or two. His details can be
found in the club magazine.

A superb multi-era/marque show in the hometown of the famous BRM cars which
are always on display. A Spitfire/Lancaster flypast is always included.

Sun 29th Stamford Car Show (August Bank Holiday Sunday)
+ Saturday and Monday for Standards interested in making a weekend
We had a great turn out last year of Standards from 1926 to 1961. Let’s make it
even greater this year and for those who come to the area for the weekend I can
advise on accommodation and we’ll have a Saturday and/or Monday road run. The
Show is on the Sunday on the Meadows in the centre of this picturesque and
historic town.
