AT THE TREDEGAR PARK SHOW - 18TH SEPT, 2005

This was the first show for 2 years,
having been held continuously for 24 years prior to last year when it had
to make way for the National Eisteddfod.
We had a stand in quite a good location,
next to one of the main walkways, with quite a lot of interest being shown
in our cars by members of the public. Unfortunately we did not sign up any
new members.
We had a small, but select, display of 5
cars, Ron and Margaret Walters and family with their Triumph Roadster and
1938 Flying 10, Alan Lewis and his son with their 1955 basic 8, Steve
Smelzer’s 1927 V4 and our Selby Tourer. Steve was kind enough to bring
along the Bristol Group’s banner and bunting so we were able to decorate
the stand nicely.
There was plenty to see and do at the
show and there was even some "proper" autojumble which makes a
change. Hopefully it will not be killed off by impending legislation. For
us the highlight of the show was Alan and son manhandling a large
stationary engine pump into the boot of their 8. It’s amazing what can
be got through the rear doors. Regretably photographs were not permitted.
