Van is rescued in North America

The survival rate for
Standard Atlas Vans is disappointingly low, so when news reaches me
of one that has been saved, I am more than happy to publish it.
Usually, the survivors are almost always ones that have been
converted to a "Camper" Van including the addition of side
windows. The attrition rate on those is somewhat less as
they seem to have been used less.
So it is especially
pleasing to see this real Van which hasn't been converted or messed
about in any structural way. Unfortunately, all the glass seems to
be missing, and there is a lot of work to do to get it roadworthy.
This one is Left hand
drive and hails from somewhere in North America. Its badged as a
Triumph of course but it appears to have the Ensign engine fitted
which makes it the later Atlas Major variety
Lets hope to see it
restored and doing useful work again,
My thanks to Ian
Leggett for sending me copies of these photos
