Commission Numbers:

Every Standard carried a Commission Number when it left the factory.Commission Numbers help you to identify the model of Standard you are looking at. On early cars the commission number can be found stamped on the boss in the centre of the steering wheel. You may need to remove subsequent layers of  paint to see it. On later cars the commission plate is on the bulkhead ( firewall) under the bonnet.

• Flying Standards and Post war Derivatives

• Military

• Vanguards, Ensigns

• Standard 8/10, Pennant and Companion

• Commercials - use the same commission numbers as the vehicle on which they are based.
