Edwardian  and Veteran Commission Numbers:

 

This page is designed to enable you to identify your car model and where possible the year of manufacture  from the car's Commission number.

No accurate records exist pre 1914. It appears that the first car was numbered 1, and all subsequent cars carried the next number. The latest car before the first world war was still carrying a four digit number. This number can be found stamped on the centre of the steering wheel.  Commission numbers for all models post first world war, where they are known, are listed below. Date information is included where that is available.
