Previously unknown 1927 model - restoration in progress

Above. The 18/42 as it stands, December 2007

Below: The same car as discovered

Gerald Atrill has emailed from Australia with more shots of a model that I previously didn't know existed, an 1927 18/42:

Hi Phil,

In 2006 you did an article on my ute & my 18/42, have sold the ute.

Progress is slow but coming along, all mechanics finished. All panels new except front guards still need doing. Assembled for photo - still a few years away yet.

Will send two photos as I found it & now.

Gerald Attrill.

P/s  I did have the old bonnet.

You can see an earlier feature on this unique car here

Many thanks Gerald, I will feature your car again on the website. I am pretty sure it is unique so there will be lots of interest in it. I can certainly see that progress is being made but the amount of work to do must be quite daunting. As the car is unique I suspect that there isn't that much help that we can give you. However, if you take more pictures of progress, I will gladly publish them.

Good luck and Regards,
Phil Homer
