Richard
Bradley's immaculate Standard 10
The following email has been received
by Peter Lockley, Chairman of the Club:
Hello Peter,
This is to thank you for the warm
welcome I received from yourself and the other club members at the
Malvern Classic car show.
Buying a Standard 10 was
obviously a wise choice and I look forward to meeting you all at
club events next season. I appreciated you coming round to look at
my car.
Thanks to your sound advice I managed
to purchase the correct top and bottom radiator hoses from a stall
at the show. I am sure that this will avoid future problems in
this area.
I thought that you may be interested
in the attached photograph of my Standard 10, taken at the
Malvern Classic car show.
The car (reg no. XFC 544) was first
registered on 6/5/55 to Mr. R.E.W. Smith of Oxford, who owned
the car for the first 40 years. The paintwork, bodywork and
interior trim is original and there are no obvious signs of it
going anywhere near a welder. The only restoration work that has
been carried out is to the engine bay and that is to a good
standard.
It has covered a genuine 51,000
miles, the majority of it in its earlier years. It drives
without fault.
The car is a credit to its former
owners and I feel very privileged to now own it.
Best regards,
Richard Bradley
