(The Boathouse)
In the 1930's the
Standard Motor Company built a country house for its Managing
Director, Captain, later Sir John Black. Apocryphally, carpenters
and apprentices from the factory were employed in its
construction. Designed to a nautical theme, the house in North
Wales is not accessible by road. It is now available as a holiday
let and can be viewed here.
