1937 Standard Flying 12 Custom Car
Studio shot courtesy of Dave Rothwell See this car at the NEC Classic Car Show! This highly modified Standard Flying 12 was a prizewinner in the National Custom Car Championships last year. It started life, of course, as a 4 door saloon but now is a two-door coupé. Modifications include a 5 cylinder Volvo Turbo engine, full leather interior, Brembo Disc brakes all round and 20" rear wheels. This car is scheduled to attend the NEC Classic Car Show, where it will appear on the UK National Street Rod Association's stand. Yet another good reason to visit the NEC. More details and advance tickets here Be sure to visit the Standard Motor Club's stand in Hall 3 and please bring us your ticket stubs. This car will be the subject of a full colour feature article in the future - come back soon Phil Homer p.s. The same customiser is busy building a Maserati powered 1934 Standard 10!
