The weather on February 4th was an unseasonal 10 degrees C with bright sunshine. Hence a number of attendees at the West Midlands Annual Lunch turned out in their Standards. This late Eight Saloon from 1948 caught my eye, and I thought would make a suitable feature  for the winter website. We therefore arranged for this informal photoshoot  outside the restaurant, the results of which you see here.

UAS 976 is owned by Alex and Rhona Layton from Hollywood in Birmingham. They have owned it for a couple of years now and it is in regular use. It has been subject to renovation and ongoing improvements during their ownership. Work on the car includes a complete rebuild of the front suspension and steering. Its good to see that the lady of the household also gets the pleasure of driving this tidy little car!
