A

Hi Phil,
Hope you and
Lynda enjoyed your time away in the Flyer, the reports on
the web have been great.
And talking
about Flyers please find attached the first of many photos I
intend taking during this small job. I seem to landed myself a
1938 Flying light 12 that has seen better days (watch out Mr Parks
we might need a few spares for this one). Its possible that this
could be classed as a barn fined but I know its only been there
about 18 months, the previous own having done nothing with it. The
original owner and family being the one that has dismantled it to
the level it's currently at.
A one owner
from new and looking into its history has lived in and around the
North West all its life. In fact it's probably been no more than
10 miles away from my own home. I have only seen the main body and
chassis as can be seen from the attached photos and having
tinkered with it over the week end and have kind of had it running
(a great relief)
Saturday the 23rd
August was collection day where we moved it without it getting wet
back to my place, only 1 mile down the road. With the grateful
help of Bryan Jones's and his trailer plus some of the Manchester
group members John Phil and Dave. (See picture)
I will forward
more picture of the move and the collection of ancillaries i.e.
doors boot lid, lights and bumpers ETC once done and keep you
posted with its progress. Plus when I have worked out how to
reduce the size of the files of what I have taken already at 2 M
per picture I don't think you would like them
Speak to you
soon

Many
thanks Graham,
Sorry
for the delay in publication, I've been trying to catch up with
the backlog of material that built up whilst we were away. You
have a full-on restoration there, good luck with it. If anyone
can find you the parts, Brian Parkes can!
Regards
Phil
You
can see the next phase of this restoration here
I am aware that there are other cars
and information that could be added to this site to make it more comprehensive, so if you
have material and photographs, please let me know. Please send me, Phil Homer, a
