Standard Flying 8 Tourer in Belgium

Hello Phil,
I’m
Tiny from
Belgium
in
Europe
. I was looking for some information of my standard but I
could’nt find it.
So
I wrote a letter to the oldtimerclub in
Holland
.
They
gave me the page of Triumph and so finily I came at your site.
It
is a beautiful site with a lot of nice pictures.
I
have my standard flying eight (1939) just for a week, so it would
be nice if you can tell me if you have contact
with
other people in
Belgium
, so I can write them too.
I
like to send you some pictures of my little one.
It
has to be restauraded, but that will be something for the winter.
Here
are some things very expensive . Like the chairs they realy have
to be done.
The
rest is not so very bad for such an oldie.
I
hope I don’t write too many mistakes but I think you can read
what I mean, isn’t it.
It
would be nice if I hear from you.
Lot
of greatings

Your English is perfect - much
better than my Flemish or French!
Good to see your pre-war Flying 8
Tourer, it is quite a rare car today. I do not know of
your car before. I have sent you a photo of another that came
to our International Rally last weekend. I have also sent one
of the post-war 8 saloon belonging to Dirk Cornelius who also
came to the Rally from Flanders. If you would like to email
him his address is (witheld by webmaster) I am sure he
would be delighted to hear from another 8 owner in Belgium.
If you would like to send me some
of the history of your car, if you know it, I will put it with
the pictures on the SMC website.
I do hope that you will become a
member of the club.
Kind Regards,
Phil Homer
