Hello Phil,

Visited your website for the first time, noticed "your car could be here" http://www.standardmotorclub.org.uk/cars/flying/features/features.htm !!!

If of interest, herewith my Standard 8 of May 3, 1939, which I could not resist buying from a friend July 18, 1977. Due to (what we call) "holy earth" completely renovated 1977 - 1989, 530 hours, !! First owner: Bernard Lionel P. Cannon, 30 Brunswick GDNS, Essex GB. Second owner: Wolfgang Kappeler, Third owner: J. Bachmann, Schönenberg, Switzerland.

April 1, 1990, first drive in Switzerland: Schönenberg-Horgenberg-Sihlwald-Sihlbrugg-Baar-Aegeri-Menzingen-Schönenberg,

hilly drive of about 15kms!

Started with 114'590 miles, to date(August 4th 2006) 116'566 miles.

What a beautiful Car!

Of course, it is always interesting to hear of Standards that are being loved and cared for wherever they are. It happens that we already have a small but active group of owners in Switzerland and I am sure that they will be in touch with you very soon and encouraging you to use your car more!
