Tyres Appeal for the Sopwith Pup
- wanted a pair of secondhand 26 x 3 tyres
The Club's favourite airplane, a Standard built 1917 Sopwith Pup, is undergoing restoration in the West Country. The point has now been reached where the rolling fuselage needs to be moved about in its workshop. Unfortunately, whilst the plane is on its wheels, it needs a pair of 26" x 3" beaded edge tyres to go on them. New tyres are not required at this time, (its not ready to fly!) just any old pair of tyres with or without treads are needed. The owner already has good inner-tubes. So if you have a pair of old 26 x 3 tyres, in any condition and would like them to go to a good home, please get in touch with the Webmaster in the first instance. If you are able to help please get in touch: Phil Homer webmaster@standardmotorclub.org.uk 01727 868405 Thank you and here is some more information about the Pup February 2010 |
