South African Pennant Rusts in Piece

Rust in Peace

The old chap that owns this car has being trying for some time now to find and sell it to a local possible Standard enthusiast but has not been successful. The old chap is not wanting much for it. SA Rand +-R1500.00 (About 150 Pounds Sterling) He is in a spot of bother though and that is that he is moving into a much smaller house, what we here in South Africa call a "town house." Unfortunately, he will have very limited space in his new place and thus, regrettably, no space for these vehicles. (The Daimler and Rover as well.)

As you will see from these digital images that I am sending you, the cars condition is not too bad. The only parts that are missing are the braking system parts. The car is not terminal and is definitely salvageable.

Perhaps on your registers, you may have some South Africans on your books. If you would forward this to me, I would be only too grateful in contacting these people and offering them the car.

The one thing that bothers me though, and that is the old chap that owns the car, claims that this was one of the last Pennants that were made and that it had a 1500 cc motor (from Standard) and not the 948 cc motor that all the other Pennants had?
