Standard
Fan finishes restoration of a Vanguard I

Arthur and
Eileen Paddock with their Vanguard
Arthur and Eileen
Paddock have recently completed the restoration of this Vanguard
KWK 997 and I was able to photograph it on its very first outing
to a recent Standard Motor Club event.
The Paddocks own
other Standards and are regular participants in their cars from
their home near Stoke on Trent. This recent project was only
completed in the week before the event and Arthur is highly
delighted with the results of his considerable labour
This was a complete
restoration from a very rusty car and Arthur also used a donor car
for many components. All the mechanicals were rebuilt and the
whole interior replaced using the originals as patterns.
I am sure you will
agree that Arthur has a "new" Vanguard to be proud of
and we look forward to being able to see it at the 51st
Standard International Rally
