Hi Phil

My compliments on an exceptionally nice looking site!

I am browsing your Standard site for the first time. In response to your footnote requesting other photos and information about the early Vanguards, I'm attaching a photo or two of my unrestored 1950 Vanguard that I recently acquired while in Canada. The car has just 26,000 miles from new and drives as nicely as one could ever hope for.  Please feel free to include my email address, if you feel it is appropriate, with an invitation for any other owners of early  Vanguards to contact me, especially if they are located in North America. As I have only met one other Vanguard owner in my life, cotact wtih others would be welcome. To my knowledge, these cars were never imported to the US where I live. I'm particularly enthusiastic about my Vanguard, even above many of my other cars. I was surprised by what a competent vehicle it is to drive on a regular basis. I'm about to leave for Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada this afternoon to search for British cars, and this leaves me with little time today, but I would like to hear more from you in the future, and hope to contribute more to your great web site.
