| Where
is this Standard Swallow, UH 8806?
I am trying to locate above car a
Standard swallow nine, colour green..first registerd in 1930's
to William Slade of 246 Cowbridge rd Cardiff..In 1950's owned
& used as a family car by my father in law (late) Ted
Bloomfield until 1959 when he moved from Cardiff to Burghfield
in Berkshire when he sold it to a workmate who informed him in
1960 that he had sold it to a motor museum..Last re registered
in SURREY in 1960 according to records. Both Ted & his buyer
knew the car was collectable (only 6 made ? ) WHERE IS IT ? I
have made enquiry at various motor museums with negative result.
I understand there is a similar car at the Coventry transport
museum LJ 2793 but that one is not the same car. Please
feel free to publish this letter & photos on your club
website & any info about this car would be welcome..
Thankyou,
Tony Dighton
