ATTENTION STANDARD CAR CLUB MEMBERS IN NORTH AMERICA

While it’s true that many of us, like myself, also belong to regional car clubs throughout the U.S. and Canada, and participate in our periodic club meetings, conferences, and regional car shows, we rarely see Standard car people at these gatherings. Nor do we have any continuing and regular means, other than through our parent club, for communicating with one another, to share our Standard enthusiasm, exchange stories, share car problems, seek spares, and engage more actively in our hobby. Why can’t we North Americans do the same as UK based Standard enthusiasts!

Because I have served for a number of years as the North American Correspondent for the UK based Triumph Roadster Club, I have come to fully appreciate being in continuous touch with U.S. and Canada Roadster owners for all these noted reasons. And, as well, being a Standard owner and enthusiast, I would also like to be a part of a North American based regional group duly affiliated, of course, with the UK Standard Motor Club..

Would you be interested? Would you like to be a part of, and a participant in, a "local" group? Let me know your thoughts. Let me hear your suggestions. Let me seek your advice. You can reach me at msm.msm@sbcglobal.net. You can phone 847 520 4729. Or you can write me at 1002 Hilldale Lane, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 (a Chicago suburb).

Melvin S. (call me "Mel") Merzon.
