The Club has a new Magazine Editor

Steve O'Hara, who produced the October edition of the "Standard car Review", (which you will  receive today, October 1st,) has now been confirmed in the post of Editor. No, his arm was not up his back, he says he enjoyed the job so much that he wants to carry on!

Steve O'Hara looks pleased with his first edition of the "Standard Car Review", right

So we welcome Steve, already a Club committee member, and wish him every success in his new role.

Steve is a committed Standard fan and has owned a collection of the cars. He currently runs a 1935 Standard 9 and a 1930 Standard Teignmouth, which is featured on the front cover of this month's edition. Well, he is entitled to be a little self indulgent with the first issue!

Steve's other passion is that he is a Train enthusiast and he has lived above Birmingham's New Street Station, so he can get a good view!  His daytime job combines both hobbies, as he delivers cars all over the country, meaning he can make the return journeys on the railways.

Steve welcomes your input and photographs to the magazine. You can contact him on editor@standardmotorclub.org.uk

We also welcome our new Assistant Editor, John Maxwell. John will also independently proof read the magazine to ensure its quality is of the highest "Standard".

I am aware that there are other cars and information that could be added to this site to make it more comprehensive, so if you have material and photographs, please let me know.  Please send me, Phil Homer, a message at: Phil Homer
