The 2006 International Rally
promises to be one of the most interesting of recent years. Its on a
working Army site, not a stuffy Stately Home or theme park The Rally will be on:
July
7th/8th/9th 2006
in the
grounds of
Bovington
Tank Museum,
Near
Wareham, Dorset
| Admission to the rally will be just £10 per car.
This will include unlimited admission for all occupants to
the museum over the weekend.
Normal admission is £8.50 adults,
£6.00 children.
A car full of two adults and two children will save £13 on the
normal cost of a Family Ticket for museum entrance alone, and still have the rally weekend thrown
in for free! FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY- |
As another attraction, every
entrant to the rally will receive a complimentary copy of "Classic
Car Monthly" - this edition even contains a feature about the
Standard Motor Club!
I find it difficult to
understand how you could stay away!
Format will be similar to
previous years. Entrants can gather from Friday afternoon. On Saturday
there will be a road run, including an optional journey on the Swanage
railway. There will be an optional dinner on Saturday evening, which must
be booked via the entry form. On the Sunday there will be by
the usual concours events and autojumble And of course a
tour of the Tank Museum at any time you like! There will also be a raffle
with fantastic prizes. After prizegiving there will be an extra Roadrun to
Bournmouth for Classics on the Prom
ALL STANDARD OWNERS ARE
WELCOME - MEMBERS OR NOT
( you might get
persuaded to join )
If your car isn't
ready, come in modern Eurotin, meet like minded people, swap spares and
tips or just join in the fun!
Camping and Caravanning
available on site. Or you can click here for Hotels,
B & B, Pubs and Inns. You might want to arrange additional
holidays in this most attractive area of Purbeck on the South Coast, there
are countless things to do and this website
gives you a good idea of the attractions.
Its too
late to send an entry form, so just turn up on the day
