Peter Lockley organised a club stand
at the Spring Malvern show and was rewarded by a good line-up of
Standards including 5 Vanguards. Ivan Hancox brought his
recently-acquired Vanguard Six estate, Peter his IA estate, Brian
Birch his Phase II, John Worby his Vignale and Pete Foster his
Vignale; he came all the way from Kings Lynn. In addition Alan
Withey came in his 8, Mike Gough in his 10, Alan Lewis in his Flying
8 and John and Rachel Maxwell in their Flying 12. And I came in my
Teignmouth, which was the oldest car in the show apart from a Model
T chassis.
John Worby won runner up in post-fifties cars, while
the club stand won the runner-up prize
