Despite weather threats the day started quite dry. Between 10 am and 11 am a total of 15 classics of all makes assembled at The Groups watering hole THE STAR at East Tytherley. After a bacon sandwich and coffee. Myself and Oliver in the1939 Flying 8 tourer led the cars out of the car park and turned right.

Over the next half hour the cars passed through a number of old villages on the way to the Show following the route devised by Darrell & Josephine.

No one broke down (not even my flyer!!!).

Arriving at the ground we found a good selection of classics already assembled in rows. The only other Standard in evidence was a Standrive from the Newbury area.

With various raffles etc the day raised much need charity funds .

As the event drew to a close the members & friends started for their homes.

It had been an enjoyable day out for the NOW enlarged group.
