Dear Phil & Lynda

Thank you very much for all the hard work you did in making the rally such a success. I found it most enjoyable.

regards, David Mileham

Dear Chairman,

Please can you thank on our behalf, all the committee and any one else who helped to organise a very enjoyable weekend at Wyboston Lakes. All your effort and hours of work were well worth it.

Hoping to see you all again next year.

Hi Phil,
Just wanted to say a big thank you for your hospitality on Saturday. It was a great event, and I have loads of good copy. I hope Sunday was just as successful.
Best wishes,

Hi Phil,

Just a quick note from Carol and myself to thank you and your organisers for a superb week-end at a superb venue. Though not a Standard owner, we were made most welcome in our A35 to participate in the open class. We really enjoyed the runs to Stondon and Grafham, and the large gathering yesterday on the field. This was our first outing into the classic car world post restoration of our A35, and if we join the A35 Club, we hope the organisation and flair could at least match the Standard Club! I found everyone so helpful, and gleaned much needed information about classic vehicles. Sadly, we had to leave early yesterday, just before the judging and raffle, as Carol was suffering from the heat, but we do hope the Moggie Ragtop won the open class that we were in, as it was really superb, 9 yes John, it did! - webmaster) and a lot of work had gone into it!

Thanks once again to you and all of your fellow organisers for a super weekend, that has given us the impetus to get more involved into these kind of events! We both know that a lot of hard work went into the weekend, both prior and post event also, and it was very kind of you to accept us as entrants at very short notice.
Best Wishes for the future

John and Carol Naylor

Dear Lynda and Phil

I wanted to write a few words to thank you both for all your hard work in delivering one of the nicest International Rallies for many years.  You can both give yourselves a well deserved pat on the back and be confident that you have set a very hard act to follow.

All too quick, members are likely to criticise at the slightest excuse, and it is only when you have organised the International Rally yourself that you know all the hard work involved.

I would like to add my thanks and appreciation for all of the hard work that Phil and Lynda put in to this year's event. My wife and I had a fantastic time. This was the first rally that we have attended and were made to feel so welcome. It was great to meet so many fellow Standard owners.
The road runs were very enjoyable and very well planned and all of the logistics worked perfectly for us.

We're already looking forward to next year's event in Stratford.

Neil Osborne

I went up to talk to people to find answers to a lot of questions about my newly acquired 10 and found everyone very friendly and helpful..and am glad there is a modified section as that's where my 10 will belong

Doug Foreman

I would like to echo Neil's remarks. And also add a special thanks to all involved in allowing us to have a Modified Section, this will ensure that I attend every year, I am already planning my modifications for next year's event.

Further Bouquets added 4th July 2010

Can Ann and myself add our praises to those already expressed for yet another great National Rally, it really was superb. The last time I attended a Rally with a Standard was at the Chip factory in Yorkshire, when we had the Vanguard (7126 NA) - for the past few years we had to use our MGRV8.

So this year we set off, very excited in our Aussie Vanguard Pickup, only to breakdown after some 140 miles, resulting in the indignity of turning up at Wyboston in a Ford KA (courtesy of RAC).
So, the pickup is now under the doctor (again) and with 12 months to work on her - Standard National Rally 2011, will see it fully recovered and fighting fit (hopefully???)

Once again, thanks very much Phil & Lynda, it was great.
