As a democratically run Club, the officers are elected by the membership at the AGM.  A third of the committee is forced to reapply for election at each AGM, meaning that the whole committee is re-elected on a rolling basis over a 3 year period. Nominations were invited  through calling notices in the Standard Car Review and on this website. At the 2010 AGM there was a number of changes.  Here is the detail:

The following posts were due for re-election and the incumbents did not wish to stand again:

  • Chairman, Peter Lockley

  • Membership Secretary and Registrar, Tony Pingriff

  • Secretary, Rachel Maxwell

  • Member without Portfolio, John Maxwell

The following posts were filled by nominations received prior to the meeting:

  • Chairman, Paul Newsome

  • Secretary, Lynda Homer

The following new post was created by the committee:

  • Legal Advisor, Peter Lockley

The following posts which have been filled with co-opted members during 2009 were ratified at the meeting

  • Membership Secretary and Registrar, Tony Pounder

  • New Members Secretary, Steve Smeltzer

  • Regalia Officer, Beatrice Pounder*

  • Assistant Regalia Officer, Graham Hart

Re-elected unopposed:

  • Vice Chairman, Phil Homer

The remainder of the committee posts are unaltered

The Club welcomes new blood to these committee posts and hopes that they will all build on the Club's previous success.
