on an Album Cover:
How
about this for your webmaster keeping bang up to
date ! ?
"Funeral
for a Friend" is the unlikely name for a
Welsh Rock Band who have this week released
their fifth and latest album - "Your History
is Mine" The album cover which I reproduce
above, with acknowledgement of the copyright
holder, features a Standard Pennant in red.
It
may be a carefully posed modern shot but it is
more likely to be taken from someone's photo
album. If you know more about its origins, please
let us know.
It
reminds me of Standards that have been used in
advertising campaigns in the past, the Ovaltine TV
ads of many years ago is an example. If anyone has
material relating to advertising campaigns,
or photos of Standards used in adverts, please let
me know about them and I will feature them here.
