53rd International Rally - Horwood House

A selection of Bouquets:

Hello Lynda and Phil,

What a splendid weekend!  Only thanks for much worry and arranging, I'm sure.

Thanks again for a super weekend - it was high time the 14 had a longer journey; we covered about 330 miles and despite the leaks : smoke (I guess the percentage use is about 60:40) it used just less than a pint of oil.

All the best

Chris Perry-Smith

Hello Lynda and Phil

Just a short note to say thank you for the last three days. We all really had a great time. We would also like to thank you for all your hard work you both put in to the organization of such a great club rally.

We all hope to catch up with you both soon.

Best Wishes.

"Dear Lynda and Phil

I just wanted to write and thank you both for all your hard work in delivering yet another excellent Rally.  As someone who has organised the event myself a few years ago, I am well aware of all the work involved.

You can both give yourselves a well deserved pat on the back and be confident that you have set a hard act to follow.

 With best wishes

Hi Phil,

Particular praise:

Hotel, location and food was very good

Routes were excellent and well suited to our cars – including some “challenging” sections. (I wonder if the modern Standards would have liked longer alternative routes?)

Stopping locations/choices were good and it was nice to have the flexibility for stops and lunch, and a train is always a winner!

Everyone especially enjoyed Bletchley and there was a lot of talk about it over Friday dinner

Cheers,

Conan Lewis

Dear Lynda and Phil,

Just a short note to thank you for a very enjoyable weekend. Although I did not have my car it did not detract from the pleasurable time we all enjoyed.

I always look forward to the annual rally and the very different locations. All are just as good - well planned - plenty of interesting visits. If anything the weekend goes far too quickly.

Many thanks for all your hard work and planning.

This final bouquet comes from our Guests:

Dear Lynda and Phil,

We are writing to say a big "thank you" for inviting us to the Standard International Rally 2012 and for yours and the Club's magnificant hospitality based at Horwood House. Everything there was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend which we found so well organised in every respect. We congratulate you both on dealing with the many details. When an event runs so smoothly, it indicates that a great deal of work has gone on behind the scenes.

We enjoyed all the visits to the museums and the atmosphere of Bletchley Park is still with us both

Chris will also be writing to Paul to thank him personally. He was very pleased to be asked to talk about the FHBVC after dinner on Saturday.

The weather was so kind to the Rally and we experienced some well deserved sunshine.

Once again most sincere thanks for your hospitality

Kindest regards,

Chris and Vivien Cunnington
