Classics October 2005
The
current edition, October 2005, has two articles
to interest Standard Enthusiasts.
The
first is a feature on the Vanguard wet-liner
Engine, or rather on the multitude of vehicles
that it powered, from the Ferguson Tractor,
through TR's to the Swallow Doretti. Each of the
cars is featured and the article is positive about
the contribution that Standard-Triumph made
to the Motoring scene at the Time. A surprising
omission though is the Standard Vanguard itself,
which was the application for which the engine was
originally designed.
A
second smaller feature is about military vehicles
and includes the Standard 12 Utility.
