Club Spares Scheme News

Club Spares Scheme News:

New Spares Officer - Standard 8 and 10 Spares.

Your committee appreciates that there is negligible support for Standards from the commercial Motor Trade and we therefore need to support members in keeping their cars on the Road. This is one of the primary objectives of the Club.

As announced at the recent AGM, we now have a New Spares Officer for the Standard 8s, 10s and Pennants. Actually, its Tony Pounder who previously was looking after the body panels, but will now be looking after those plus all the mechanical parts that we hold.

We hope that Tony will be able to build on the good work already done by Phil Birch and he hopes to be able to build up the range of spares that are available to our members.

The Spares are in the process of being moved from Phil Birch to Tony as I write, so you should always contact Tony in the first instance. Tony may ask you to contact someone else during this handover period.

I sure that many Club members will join me in thanking Phil Birch for his help in the past.

We ask that members should always enquire of the Spares Scheme in the first instance when looking for parts. If the spar3s are not available in the Club, the Spares Officer is often able to suggest another source.

Tony's contact details are here
