VACANCY for a Treasurer of the Standard Motor Club
Your Treasurer, Val Richardson, has
decided to step down from the committee at the next AGM. The Club owes
Val a great debt of gratitude for her many years of committee service.
This advertisement is therefore designed to attract members who may be
interested in helping the committee as her replacement. Because the
Club's financial year ends on 31st December, the replacement needs to
be in place for the new financial year starting Jan 1st 2011. Val will
prepare the current year's accounts and present them at the AGM. The
requirements are that the candidate should have computer skills,
particularly email and preferably internet forums, as this is the
method by which the committee communicates. A basic
knowledge of book-keeping is also required. There is also a need to
attend a number of committee meetings each year. Expressions of

free time, you would consider giving something back to the Club?
