1935 Avon Restoration Part 2

Phil Homer has now completed his restoration of this Charles Beauvais designed 1935 Avon Standard 4 seater Tourer and was able to roadtest it and photograph it on Sunday. There are some adjustments left to do but Phil and Lynda are confident that it will be at Standard rallies this summer, including the International Rally in the Wirral

This car first surfaced on the Standard Motor Club's Internet Forum a couple of years ago and Phil was subsequently able to purchase the car as an executors sale. It had not been on the road for 30 years. The car has received a ground up rebuild including a respray in this fetching Art Deco two-tone, engine rebuild, new hood, tonneau and sidescreens.

Come along to the International to see the results.
