This year’s Auto Jumble saw a glorious two days of fine weather. The Standard Motor Club had again their usual spot RO18B in Red Field.

Firstly I must thank the following members without whose help we could not have appeared there.

Alan Tibot & Dave Salter from The New Forest Group for giving up their free time to transport the Gazebo and tables etc to the site on the Friday and erecting the new waterproof gazebo on its second outing (The previous was on The South of England Gathering where it was used for the Friday Afternoon Tea arranged by Josephine Longland). Also for manning the Stand during the weekend and of course dismantling it and returning it to the New Forest Storage.

Margaret Park for supplying the yummy shortbread biscuits to go with the endless supply of coffee for all visiting members.

Phil & Lynda Homer for helping man the stand during the weekend.

And finally Josephine who supplied the milk cups and coffee and helped me get on my way each morning in Stan my Flying 8 tourer to reach Beaulieu by 9 am.

We had many Members visit us both UK and European, including France, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland and prospective new members from Denmark & Norway.

Phil was also able to answer many of the enquiries about parts etc.

The whole show was run excellently by the Staff of Beaulieu.

The only thing I missed was the usual visit to our stand by Lord Montagu

Who sadly died a few days before.
