The Devon Group's New Years Day Run
Can anyone send me a photo to fill this space?
Now an annual event for the Devon group we travelled to Sedgemoor Cattle Market, near Bridgewater for the New Years Day meet. The group comprised of Steve and Karen’s TR7, Steve and Sue’s 1957 Gold Star, Ray and Julie’s 1955 Phase II Vanguard and us in our 1947 Standard 4/8A.
We were joined by Phil and Doris in their modern.
The group enjoyed the large display of classic lorries, cars, bikes and tractors and visited the auto jumble and general boot sale.
Chris was very happy to pick up a Flying Standard radiator badge in the auto jumble for £1.50.
We all enjoyed sharing out some Christmas goodies from our left over stores (the sherry was a cracking idea Karen) and as the cold was beginning to get a grip we retired to a garden centre just outside of Taunton for a warming meal and get together before making our way home
A lovely way to start the New Year.
