Luxury Six Estate Restoration

I bought the car on eBay from Harry Asherton Smith a few months ago - I have a bit of a Standard Triumph problem and currently own 9 of them.  I thought this one would just need treating to a nice respray as it drove really well once we got it back to Enginuity in Acton - but once we got the most recent paint job stripped down there was a nest of horrors underneath.  So it's a full rebuild of the bottom 3rd on both sides and plenty of new metal going in elsewhere too.  We're just about through that - not to mention quite a lot of my hard earned - and then it will just be the re-trim in dark red leather.  I haven't decided to stay with the original light blue or go with the Nimbus White they had on the cars in the 1963 brochures.  I really like the White but my inner originality nerd might win out.   So a work in progress and you've got photos of the nasty bits - hopefully some more shiny new metal to share with you soon.

All the best
