Standard Triumph Marque Day

Lynda admires a wet selection of Standards in the Display arena

The Standard-Triumph marque day at the Heritage Motoring Centre at Gaydon is now the second largest gathering of Standards for an event during the year. Over 35 Standards turned out this year and there were over 1500 visitors. Unfortunately, the event was interrupted by long showers of rain, but it didn't spoil the fun.

Amongst the attractions is a day long running commentary in a small arena, where a succession of cars and owners are paraded for the visitors. It saves on shoe leather one would use in walking around the show, since if you stand in one spot, almost all the cars will be brought past you!

Thats not the only attraction however, as there was a substantial autojumble and all the regular attractions of the museum.

Here are some of the cars at this event, as usual you can click on any of them to see a larger version
