Post Vintage  Archive Factory Photographs

1930's Archive Factory Photos

Over 70 Factory Photographs from the 1930's have recently been loaned to to club for copying. None of them have been seen before, nor, so far as we are aware, have any been published elsewhere.

Lots of these shots are of unregistered cars, taken in and around the factory grounds and many feature models in bang up to date fashions.

You can see a selection of the Post-Vintage photos below, just click on them to see a larger version, remembering to press "Back" on your browser to come back here.  As these cars are all to totally original specifications they are a useful guide to anyone restoring one of these cars:

Left and Right

Models with a 1934 10 Hp Saloon

LKeft - A rare 1934 16Hp Saloon in rural surroundings.

Right - The extra bonnet length identifies this as a 1933 6-cylinder Little 12

Left - The 10/12 Saloon of 1934 had this twin-tone paintwork, twin carbs and knock on wheels.

Above - In the days before Mobile Networks, one stopped ones 1934 Standard 10 to use one of  these red boxes!

Left - The luggage gets attention  on what appears to be a 1933 Big 9

You can see more of these 1930's photos in the Archives Pages  "Flying Standards" Archives Pages and "Coachbuilders" Archives Pages.

The whole set of more than 70 photos will soon be available to purchase on CD, watch the site for more news.

I am aware that there are other cars and information that could be added to this site to make it more comprehensive, so if you have material and photographs, please let me know.  Please send me, Phil Homer, a message at: Phil Homer
