Progress on the Avon 12 Restoration in India

More Progress on the Avon 10/12 in India!

George Soans has emailed me with more pictures showing the progress of his Avon bodied 10/12 Standard in India. If you compare these photos with the car before the restoration started which are lower down the page, I am sure that you will agree this is a remarkable restoration.

Keep up the good work George, we look forward to photos of it on the road soon!

As usual with these things, one has to take things apart before they can be rebuilt - and this is what these photos show, much of the bodywork has been removed in order to replace the frame and floor with new wood.

To remind ourselves of the starting point, here is an earlier picture of the car before the restoration began.

I am sure we all admire George's bravery and wish him continued success. George would be pleased to hear of any advice that you can give him to make this restoration easier. If you can help, please post it on our messageboard

I am aware that there are other cars and information that could be added to this site to make it more comprehensive, so if you have material and photographs, please let me know.  Please send me, Phil Homer, a message at: Webmaster
