built Gazels in India.

"These are the Indian designed Gazels....based largely on the
Mk3 herald.
First, the mk1 Gazels:

MVL 5160,
above, was owned by a friend of mine for over 25 years till
last year.
MTK 8142, below, was a runner till 2 years back, but now rots away in a
scrapyard...

MTJ 1056,above, was a nice
example of a mk1 gazel, but recently has been chopped and made a band wagon! it is used in wedding processions carrying
the speakers! Sorry, but this is the only picture that I have of
it, in that condition:

Now the Mk2s:
MTJ 4739 was lying in a scrapyard, and was broken up last year.

KA 01 P 1388,below, is a
lovely example owned by my friend Ameet Vernekar in Bangalore.

AAU 5280, above and
below, is owned by
Shyam Krishnamachary and is a fresh restoration.
