1936 Standard Light 20 in Tasmania
I have attached a couple of photos of my
1936 Light Twenty that I hope to start restoring in the
next few months. The body is in good condition, but as you can see
the paint is peeling as it was previously hand painted, so a
respray is on the cards. I have the bumpers, which are in good
condition and the interior is in fair condition. However, I think
it should have spoke wheels, of which I will have to source or buy
new, perhaps one of the club members can advise me
about spoke wheels.
I will follow up with a progress report
as things get underway.
Charles Aldous-Ball:
Penguin Tasmania Following advice that he has received on the Standard Motor Club Forum, Charles is now looking for the correct wire wheels and hubcaps for his car The wheels are 5 stud fixing and should suit a 6.00 x 17inch tyre. If you can help Charles to find a set of these wheels, please get in touch with the Webmaster in the first instance and I will pass a message on. Good luck with the project Charles and please send in some photos during and after the process. Phil Homer April 2010 Rear view of the Light 20, hiding in a flower bed
