Dear Sir!
I own a 1954 Vanguard Phase II who I
wanted to share with you. This carīs first owner came from my own
hometown. The car was reported scrapped to the authorities in 1963,
but it didnīt reach the scrap-yard. In recent years it was restored
and I bought it in the year 2005.
I like British cars and have owned a
1956 Humber Hawk and a couple of Minis before this Standard.

Thanks for the reply. Iīm glad
you liked the car. I will send you some more photos later on,
when the snow has melted down and the spring is getting
closer.
I use my car only on sunny summer
days, and itīs working fine. I could thou use some oil
filters when Iīm changing the oil every spring. I havenīt
been able to find any filters here in Sweden. Thereīs almost
impossible to get any spare parts nowadays for Standard
Vanguard in Sweden. It would be much easier if I had an old
Volvo, Mercedes-Benz or an American classic car. But would
like to drive around in a big an boring Chevrolet?
