FOR SALE - Rare Avon-bodied 16Hp Six Cylinder Special Open Tourer

FOR SALE -

Rare Avon-bodied 16Hp Six Cylinder Special Open Tourer

Commission Number 118182 which puts the date of manufacture as between Sept 1931 and August 1932.

The chassis and running gear was built by the Standard Motor Company in Coventry. The body, designed by the Jensen Brothers, was built by the New Avon Coachbuilding Company in Warwick.

This car was exported to Belgium and restored in 1991-92, thereafter it was exported to Switzerland where it has been on display in a Museum for the last 30 years. The brakes were replaced last year as we tried to drive the car again. The car starts and runs easily and can be driven on the road slowly.

Unfortunately, the original GB-Papers have been lost between Belgium and Switzerland....30 years ago!

The car remains in a private Museum for 30 years and still looks like it was after it was restored. Some recommissioning work needs to be done.

Advertised initially only here on the Standard Motor Club Website.

The price is 40,000 Swiss Francs

The car can be viewed in Switzerland. Contact Serge on +41796607590 or
