Great turnout for Coventry Motofest 2025

We always look forward to Motofest in Coventry.
Even in a “diminished” form this year, the Club and its cars attracted a great deal of interest from the public.
A great number of the good people of the Company’s home town turned out to do their shopping and found their way impeded by lots of enthusiasts for Coventry based manufacturers, including Standard.
To be fair, not many of them were old enough to remember the great employer that they once had in the City.

For our Club, the two-day event took place as usual right outside the Wetherspoons establishment in the City Centre. This Pub was suitably named “the Flying Standard” after a campaign lead by the late Steve O’Hara, some 25 years ago. It's great having the pub so handy as it serves us with breakfast, lunch and dinner, not to mention beer, coffee and tea all day. And it would provide us with shelter if any were needed, but it was not.
The Club presented 10 Standards on each of the days, some of which I have pictured.

If you would like to join in this friendly event next year, make a note of the diary dates from the Standard Car Review or Website.
