Standard Flying 10 Tourer in Australia

Chris Davis writes:

After reading all the great car stories here I thought I would add an updated story of my car - a 1939 Fying Standard 10hp Tourer.

The reason I say updated is because the SCR ran a story of the car in October 2012 editions (P26 & P27).

The car is a bit different to the regular tourer as it was produced as a "Traveller's Tourer" so it has never had a back seat. The idea being that the front bench seat could be folded flat so that there was space to sleep inside the car. The spare wheel sits on the back of the car under a metal cover.
