Standard Motor Club Monthly Prize Competition

Updated: Apr 2

Our April 2025 Competition

This is the rarest Standard I have used in a Competition to date. And very desirable it is, in my book! This is the first time there has been any mention of this car on the website.

I will give you some clues, but let's try to stop the same two people winning this competition everytime! Would a few more Members please make an attempt to identify this?

It’s a Drophead Coupé with a two seater dickey.

It was made in the UK, not abroad.

This is the only one I have ever seen and photographed (The photo is pre-digital.)

So, tell me the Model, Year, the Coachbuilder, and where it was built.

Commenting has been turned off and please don’t spoil the competition by answering on Social Media.

Please send your entries by email to phil.homer@btinternet.com before the end of April.

The prize is a Voucher to value of £20 to be used in the Club’s online Shop.

The answer will be given in early May, along with the winner’s name.

Result of the March SMC Prize Competition

The 2-door saloon that I featured last month was a Standard Picadilly on the V3 chassis made from 1922 to 1925. No car survives.

The winner of the £20 Voucher to be used against any purchase from the SMC Webshop was Member David Mileham (again). Well done, David!

You can see everything that the Voucher can be used against by using this link www.standardmotor.club

Thank you for supporting the Club that supports the Cars we drive.
