Lynda Homer, writes:

On Sunday 22nd June a group of our members joined in the Standard Triumph Picnic at Woodland Grange Hotel near Leamington Spa.
This was organized by the Pre1940 Triumph Motor Club who held their AGM at Woodland Grange on 21st June, and invited members of all Standard and Triumph clubs to join in the picnic.

Phil and I drove our 1937 Flying 12 DHC and on arrival at Woodland Grange met up with Peter Lockley in his Goldstar 8, David Vickers (1955 8) and his friends, George Thorn (1957 8), Chris Muckian and Brent Wright (1957 8 Goldstar), David Mileham (1934 12), Mike Andrews (1931 Big 9,) Pam and Norman Smith (Companion), Paul Newsome (1926 SLO 4), Paul Dowson (Flying 8), Nigel Woodward Sheath (Vanguard II), Ian Jackson (Ensign) plus Robert Browett with his TR4A, Charles Newsome in his TR6 and Conan and Ailsa Lewis with their Triumph Stag.

During the day we shared a delicious picnic and relaxed in the bright sunshine.
Norman Smith won a prize for his Companion. It was voted best non pre 1940 Triumph vehicle at the event, the judge being Wayne Scott from the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs.

In addition, the Darrell Cunningham Memorial Trophy was presented to our Chairman, Peter Lockley for his tireless work with the West Midlands Area Group as well as organising our club stand at the two NEC Classic Car Shows each year.

Congratulations to both Peter and Norman!
