Stephen George - 50s, 8 & 10 Spares Co-ordinator

Updated: Nov 20, 2024

Hello, I'm Steve George, Committee Member and Spares Co-ordinator for '50s, 8 and 10 Cars.

I bought my first Standard, a 1955 8 Deluxe about 10 years ago and she is still with me along with a 1934 Standard 9, a 1970 Vitesse Mk2 with lots of modifications and most recently, a 1968 Jaguar 420.

I don't have a background in the Motor Industry, in fact, I have over 40 years of experience in Law Enforcement, but don't let that scare you! I was however engaged in amateur Motorsports for many years - building, maintaining and driving Modified Sports and Saloons, Production Saloons, Formula Toyota and Historic Formula 2.

I have already brought my experience and contacts to 8 and 10 Spares, introducing a Disc Brake Conversion Kit and GAZ Adjustable Shock Absorbers. I am always looking for parts that we can sensibly have re-manufactured and am always willing to listen to suggestions.

Separately to this, I also run the Club's Carpet Section offering High-Quality carpet sets for many models of Standard from the 1920s through to the 1960s. To be clear, I do not make these sets, they are manufactured by one of the UK's leading companies to the highest standards.

Any Carpet Enquiries please to stevieg407eh@gmail.com

Please remember that both Spares and Carpet Sets are for Members Only.
