WARNING - ROAD CLOSURE - A417 for duration of SMC Rally

Please open the link which contains important information about Road Closures on our Rally Weekend.

The Roadworks on the A417 are very extensive and stretch as far as Cirencester.

We now have a copy of the Highways Agency notification.

Our thanks go to Doug Crook, a Member who lives locally.

The Roadruns on Friday and Saturday are unaffected.

The A417 will be closed in both directions from late on Friday evening to early Monday morning on the Weekend of our Rally.

The Highways England map shows the closure from the A429, called the Burford Road junction on the A417 at Cirencester all the way through on the A417 to the Air Balloon roundabout. So the closure is between Cirencester & the Air Balloon.

The notification from Highways England has several links to show the new road arrangements.

Please read this notification.

If you are attending on Saturday and/or Sunday you may wish to print the document and bring it with you. You will need to plan your journey time.

We are sorry that these roadworks and road closures are taking place over our event weekend, but if you plan your journey, we hope your enjoyment will not be spoiled.

These circumstances are obviously beyond our control.

If you know of others who intend to attend, please advise them.
