A Restoration in pictures - 1959 Standard 10, 6 cwt Van

Over the Summer of 2025, this Van was rescued from an almost certain fate – that of being scrapped, to the superb restoration project that was displayed on the Standard Motor Club’s stand at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC in November. See that report here:

The Van was finished on the day before the show!

It’s a credit to its owner and restorer, Shaun Russell. I think we can agree that this sets the Standard for any restoration.

The first and second images are the before and after, the remainder are shots taken during the restoration, taking place in Shaun’s workshop near Ashby de la Zouch.
